The relation of House Environment Charateristic to the Tuberculosis Patient BTA (+) in Productive Age in Puskesmas Pembina and Puskesmas Taman Bacaan

Indonesia is the third country after India and China which has high Tuberculosis Patient. And then in Indonesia Tuberculosis is the cause of death after Heart Coroner and ISPA. According to WHO (1999) every each year, in Indonesia there are 583,000 new cases with 140,000 death to Tuberculosis positive patient. Cccording to APHA (America Public Health Association, the characteristic of house environment can impact of asleep large of Tuberculosis, as the house ventilation, the crowded of the people at the house and the condition of the house, such as roof, wall, floor and plafon which is not same as the criteria.

The function of this research is to know the relation of characteristic of house environment to the Tuberculosis patient BTA (+) in productive age in Puskesmas Pembina and Puskesmas Taman Bacaan Palembang 2009. the research with crossectional plan use primary data with interview to the quetionare with 60 people sample of Tuberculosis patient.

The result of this research shown that from 86 respondence, the negative suspect of respondence 48 people (72,1%) which the middle of education 54 people (79,4%) workers 55 people (80,9%), whose the ventilation of their house which is not criteria 49 peoples (72,1%), whose he roof of their house isn’t same with the criteria 61 peoples (89,7%), whose the crowded of the people in the house are 41 people (60,3%), whose floor it doesn’t loaded of he criteria are 45 people (70,6%) and whose plafon is doesn’t loaded the criteria 46 peoples (67,6%). The result of chi square analyze between dependent variable and independent variables shown there are relation between work (p value=0,001), education (p value=0,004), volume of ventilation (p value=0,022), the crowded of the people (p value=0,025), floor (p value=0,000), the wall (p value=0,000), ceiling (p value=0,016), the roof (p value=0,007), with the Tuberculosis patient in productive age in Puskesmas Pembina and Puskesmas Taman Bacaan Palembang.

As suggestion to Health Department and Puskesmas to grow resources society of majoring healthy area appected to important house for healthy, so can press the numbers of spreading and painfull effect by Tuberculosis.
