Relationship vitamin A supplement and infection disease with children under five nutritional status at Healt Centre Talang Ratu Palembang

Nutritional status can be interpreted was a body condition in consequence of food interaction that enter and expenditure by human body that declared in special indicators. at Public health Talang Ratu Palembang, nutritional status prevalence less in children under five from 8,81 % increase to be 28 %. Nutritional status caused by direct factor that is food at home, infection disease, child treatment and pregnant mother, health service and environment sanitation.

This research to detect Relationship vitamin A supplement and infection disease with children under five nutritional status. This research uses survey approach cross sectional method. Sample of the research was 91 children under five at posyandu sub-district 20 Ilir at work area Public health Talang Ratu Palembang. Date that collected with technique symple random sampling. Analysis date is done with univariant and bivariate uses chi square and fisher exsact test with 0.05 confidence level and signifikan 95 %.

Result of this research nutritional status less 25,3% shows that there is relation between energy consumption (p 0,002), protein consumptions (p 0,002), vitamin A supplement (p 0,835), mother knowledge about nutrient and health (p 0,099), infection diseases (p 0,172) with children under five nutritional status.

There is relationship energy consumption and protein consumptions disease with children under five nutrient status. There is not relationship vitamin A supplement, mother knowledge about nutrient and health and infection disease with children under five nutrient status.
