The Factors Dealing With ISPA Desease Occurrence Towered Toddler in Work Environment of Indralaya Puskesmas Ogan Ilir Regency

Acute Respiratory Infection (ISPA) is acute infection desease attackes one of part and or more than respiratory starts from nose (up respiration) until alveoli (down respiration) including its adnexa tissue, such as sine, hole of middle ear and pleura. From ten types of most desease in Puskesmas of Indralaya year 2008 ISPA Illness holds the first position with prevalence for 3.082 sufferers (41,05 %).

This research aims at knowing the factors dealing with ISPA desease occurance towered toddler in work environment of indralaya Puskesmas Ogan Ilir regency. Research design uses cross sectional approach. Sample in this research is a mother whose has a baby attains the age of 0 - 59 months old who tajkes medicine to Indralaya Puskesmas of Ogan Ilir year 2009 , nqmely for 96 respondens. Analysis technique univariate and bivariately with SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and Chi-Square test.

This results of this research indicates that there is connection relationship between baby’s age (p value = 0,008), baby’s gender (p value = 0,002), level of mom’s education (p value = 0,010), giving eksklusif ASI (p value = 0,007), smoking habitual person in family (p value = 0,000), density of bedroom (p value = 0,025), and ventilation (p value = 0,008) with ISPA illness happening on toddler. But there was no relationship between toddler nutrient status (p value = 0,564 ) with ISPA happening on toddler.

Suggested to the manager side especially of P2 ISPA program increases illumination activity about exclusive ASI, smoking habit in house, and ISPA risk factor to the people and also trains cadre as next generation in giving an information to the people.
